Great choice of angle! Your style very much reminds me of the golden age of Hollywood. I can imagine this girl getting ready to film. ----------------------------- Visit Andy's Animation!
Hi Jenny! She reminds me of those pretty "Gene" dolls I've seen at the FAO Schwarz. I think they were modeled after Gene Tierney. Beautiful sketch - thank you!
Hollywood never could catch the shadowy attraction of the dark ones - all those blondes, and this kicks all their butts. That sloe-eyed smoky side glance - sublime could be an overused word, but I'll hazard it here, again.
I've just discovered your work- how whimsical, retro and lovely! I'm hooked. :) Best wishes from a fellow artist and your newest fan.
p.s. Congrats on making it to Paris. C'est une ville tres jolie!
p.p.s. Since you're in LA, please stop by the opening of the LA Myth show @ Meltdown Comics: next Sat. August 11 from 8-11pm. Lots of work by animation industry artists. Should be fun. Check my blog for more details.
This is going off topic, but I just wanted to say that your advice, along with Will's and Kevin's, had cheered me up immensely. Oh, and I'm enjoying the Popeye DVD. It's not only amazing, but Im studying it frame by frame to see how the Fleschier's animators had done it. One of the best ways, I say.
She's very pretty and she doesn't know it, huh? :) I'm new to your blog, but I've already gone through all your posts (creepy much? heh). You must be too young to have done work for 101 Dalmations, but your drawings of your dogs remind me very much of Pongo and Perdita!

Eddie, the original dog(mine) is better than any of my drawings--I owe any entertainment value to him.
